Tsuki no Yado, a Tiny Inn in the Flower Fields

Minamiboso is a town where flowers bloom even in winter — rapeseed blossoms in January, poppies in March, sunflowers in summer. Two years ago, a flower-farming family three generations deep converted part of their main house into an inn.

Waking Up in a Field of Flowers

On a winter morning, you wake and open the window to a sea of rapeseed blossoms — yellow filling your entire field of view.

The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Inoue, are third-generation flower farmers. "We wanted people to have that experience of waking up in the middle of the fields."

Dinner at the Family Table

Dinner is eaten around the same table as the Inoue family — local vegetables and home-cooked dishes made by Mrs. Inoue.

Flowers to Take Home

At checkout, they send you off with flowers cut fresh that very morning.
